Dear Mom and Dad,
I am glad Grandpa and Grandma are doing well. I sure miss them! And it looked like it snowed! Wahoo. Did it stick? Who made all the cakes? Is Kate opening a shop or something? And tell Josh happy late birthday!! #sorry I’m a terrible sister in law! How was it?? The food looked way good! Dang, crab; thats good! You will have to keep me informed about your back! Oh, that tithing settelment though! Good stuff!
This past week has been really good! Yes, transfers are today and everyone keeps telling me I am leaving but i really don’t want to! I think I might cry if I have to leave. I will do whatever the lord needs me to i suppose! Ah, just sucks having to move but, hey, I don’t have any news yet so as far as I am concearned, I am still here 🙂 This past week, well last monday, Lee, the guy who was supposed to be baptized yesterday and had told everyone in the branch that he was, ended up dropping us. We taught him about tithing and then he went and talked with his family back in China and they don’t agree so he has cut us off cold turkey. That sucked. My companions, especially sweet little Sister Chua took it really hard. But i knew if the Lord was taking that one away from us He would give us another, ha. Or, we just needed to learn some lesson! But He did. We were tracting in a park one day and had just finished a conversation with this really nice guy and were walking back to the forever long bus stop when I saw this girl sitting on a table alone by this lake. So, I went over and sat across from her and just started talking to her. Turned out she is intirested and wants her family in Sabah, East Malaysia to learn as well. Then another day we were able to get 4 appointments in! Now, that may not seem like a lot, but for us and our area, that is a ton! Wahoo! And they were all really solid. We taught well together in our trio which is sometimes difficult to do! But the Lord blessed us! It was also Deepavali on Tuesday! It’s like the Indian Christmas! It was really cool and we went to Little India for p-day. There were so many stinking people there that I almost died, haha! We got some good roti and thosai out of it; mango lassi as well, yum! 🙂 We were able to get with a couple members as well, Bany and Elsa and Darilyn Liza and Kelvin. They are great!! An appt with Oliver was really cool. It was so different than the first appt because the first time we barely even got to say one word. He just chatted the entire time. This time I was like, “Alright, I’m putting my foot down. This is why were here and if you want to find out for yourself we will continue to give you our time, but were not here just to mess around and have you blab at us”. He told me he knew the Book of Mormon was the word of God and I was so shocked. I almost had him choose a date to be baptized but I figured I’d give him one so that’s what we did! But man, he is still a talker!
Sister Archibald is leaving us in a couple days! It’s hard to see good friends leave.
